Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to our FAQ center. Whether you are new to chiropractic or looking for specific billing details, we have you covered.
New Patient Questions
What happens during my first appointment?
Your first visit is a “deep dive” discovery session. Please allow 30 to 60 minutes. Dr. Bruley will perform a consultation, a neurological scan, a spinal analysis, and a 4-view motion study X-ray (if necessary) to pinpoint the root cause of your pain.
Do I need a referral from my medical doctor?
In most cases, no. You do not need a referral to see a chiropractor in Wisconsin. If your specific insurance plan requires one, our team will let you know during your complimentary benefits check.
Should I fill out forms before I arrive?
Yes! Completing your intake forms online saves you about 15 minutes in the waiting room. You can Download Forms Here.
What should I bring with me?
Please bring a valid Photo ID, your current Insurance Card, and a method of payment.
Treatment & Technique
What is the “Torque Release Technique” (TRT)?
TRT is a gentle, FDA-cleared chiropractic method that uses an instrument called the Integrator to correct spinal misalignments. Unlike traditional manual chiropractic, there is no twisting, popping, or cracking of the spine. It is precise, reproducible, and safe for all ages.
Is chiropractic safe for children or during pregnancy?
Yes. Because we use the gentle Torque Release Technique, no aggressive force is used. We see patients ranging from newborns (for colic and ear infections) to expectant mothers (for sciatica and pelvic alignment).
How many visits will I need?
We don’t guess; we follow a care plan based on your exam results. For chronic issues, a typical restorative phase might involve 2-3 visits per week for 4-6 weeks. Many patients then choose “wellness care” (maintenance) to stay healthy, but that is always your choice.
Does chiropractic hurt?
Most patients find the TRT adjustments very comfortable and relaxing. You may feel mild soreness (similar to a workout) after your first few adjustments as your body adapts to its proper alignment.
Insurance & Costs
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we work with most major providers, including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and Anthem. We also accept Workers’ Comp and Auto Accident claims.
What if I don’t have insurance?
We believe health shouldn’t be a financial burden. We offer affordable cash rates, flexible monthly payment plans, and accept HSA/FSA funds.
How much does it cost?
We pride ourselves on transparency. While costs vary based on your insurance, we offer a $49 New Patient Special that covers your entire initial exam and X-rays so you can get answers without financial risk.
Conditions We Treat
Can you help with Neuropathy?
Absolutely. We specialize in reversing neuropathy symptoms (numbness, burning, tingling) by addressing the root neurological interference. Dr. Bruley has advanced training in neuropathy protocols.
Do you treat more than just back pain?
Yes. While we are experts in back and neck pain, our neurologically-based care is effective for sciatica, migraines, carpal tunnel, vertigo, anxiety, and sleep issues. When you fix the nervous system, the whole body functions better.
Clinic Logistics
Where do I park?
We have a dedicated, free parking lot directly in front of our building at 2513 E Clairemont Ave.
Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?
